Hygienic Restaurant Agreement
Enhancing food safety was crucial for the residents. The Scheme was hosted by Sham Shui Po District Keep Hong Kong Clean District Committee (say as Committee), Food and Environmental Hygiene Department and Sham Shui Po District Office. Restaurants with licenses in Sham Shui Po District were invited to join the "Agreement Scheme". Restaurants joined the Scheme would promise to comply with requirements from Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, including "Food Hygiene Rules". Restaurants put labels given by the Committee on where caught customers' attention to show pledges. At last, restaurants joined the Scheme would be invited to participate in "Cleaning Hong Kong Carnival of Sham Shui Po District" and signed the agreements.

Health talks, large scale roving exhibition on prevention of Dengue fever, flu prevention etc were organized to increase residentsˇ¦ safety awareness. Total attendance was more than 36,000. A booklet to stress the importance of maintaining clean and safe living environment had been issued to 10,000 local residents.
